everyKey Analog Sub Drops
(100 pitch-accurate, harmonically rich sub drops - all analog, all in key)
Sub drops are one of those sounds I reach for constantly but I’ve always struggled to find ones that feel right. Most sample libraries are either too over-stylised, too genre-specific or just not built to sit naturally in a mix. I’d often find myself wasting time tweaking samples that didn’t quite fit. Wrong key, wrong length, wrong tone and still ending up with something that felt like a compromise.
So I made my own... and I did it properly.
These sub drops were created using my Moog Sub Phatty, a synth known for its deep, powerful low end. Every sample was recorded through an Undertone Unfairchild - a modern recreation of the legendary Fairchild compressor... and I drove the circuitry hard. This wasn't just for vibe: the goal was to saturate the sound, enhance the harmonics, and shape the front-end of each drop with aggressive compression, adding a sharp, 808-style impact that gives each hit real presence and energy.
The result is a set of sub drops that don’t just fill space - they hit. They’re full of harmonic complexity, and can either sit subtly under a transition or punch through as a bigger musical moment.
Here’s what’s inside:
2 full octaves of sub drops from C0 to C2
That’s 25 unique keys, no pitch shifting
2 lengths per key to suit different tempos
2 pitch slide variations per key: 1-octave drop & 2-octave drop
100 total samples, all key-labelled
Everything was processed in analog, except for a small bit of digital post-work to extend the pitch range beyond what the synth would allow on its own. Some drops go so low you can hear the individual cycles of the waveform - great for extreme sound design or for layering in low-end weight that doesn’t get in the way.
These are ready to drag and drop into any session - no guesswork, no fussing with pitch or tempo. Just rich, solid, mix-ready sub drops - in every key.
Enjoy.
